COVID-19 Update

Temporary business changes at our branches

As we navigate through the unique challenges COVID-19 poses, our top priority is to protect your health and the health of our employees. We want to tell you about measures we’re implementing – including a change in our business practice – to protect everyone from the risk of this virus. 
 
Like our customers, XTRA Lease plays a vital role in keeping supply chains running to meet the virus-driven demand for consumer staples and supplies. As a result, we remain open to meet your trailer needs and to help supply our country with essentials.
 
For your safety, we’re following CDC guidelines for social distancing and cleaning and sanitization at all of our facilities. We've also implemented the following temporary changes:
  • Your driver must stay in the cab as we check trailers in and out.
  • Your driver will not be required to sign for the trailer or provide a driver's license for us to review. 
  • We will email a copy of the Rental Agreement or an Acknowledgement of Equipment Rental Agreement to your company upon trailer check-out. A company representative must sign the document and email or fax a copy back to the branch. A photo of the signed agreement is acceptable.
  • ​We’ve suspended in-person meetings from our sales staff.
