When you rent or lease trailers, handling trailer damages is a big concern. XTRA Lease’s Repair Cost Standards, an essential component of XTRA Care, takes the uncertainty, inconsistency and hidden costs out of trailer damage repair.
XTRA Lease’s Repair Cost Standards policy is simple and straightforward. If you return a damaged trailer, we assess the damage and strictly adhere to the following guidelines:
- For repairs less than $500, we charge our Repair Cost Standard for that particular rate, with no service charge or mark-ups. The Repair Cost Standard is the fair market cost to have the trailer repaired.
- For repairs more than $500, we obtain two estimates from our repair vendors and charge the lower of the two estimates, with no service charge or mark-ups.
